The Eye-CEE
System for Schools
With the success
of the Eye-CEE System for Computer Users combined with the concern that school-age
children are using computers more often, we are proud to announce a new version
of this unique software program. The Eye-CEE
System for Schools is a modified version that grade school children (grades
3-12) can easily use. This vision screening can be used in any school setting
and can be performed by the child so that the school nurse is free to evaluate
the results at their convenience.
The tests are similar
to our regular program but the instructions are simple and the questionnaire
is more appropriate for the school setting. The results can be sorted and reports
can be given that will enable the nurse to make appropriate recommendations
for eye exams and classroom settings. Although there have been no studies that
show that computer use among children has caused any permanent visual damage,
it only makes sense to test a child's eyes in the manner in which they use their
eyes the most. And many children are spending more time in front of a computer
display screen.
